Storm Stacey to make road racing debut at 2026 North West 200

Storm Stacey is set to make his road racing debut at the 2026 North West 200.

The 22-year-old has competed in BSB since 2021 and turned heads at least year’s North West 200 when he turned up to spectate.

Stacey has entered his second year with Michael Rutter’s Bathams AJN team in 2026, with the squad switching to Ducati machinery for the BSB season.

Rutter’s outfit will continue with BMW in road racing, and has signed Conor Cummins to race the Superbike class at the Isle of Man TT.

“I really enjoyed riding the BMW Superbike last season and have heard good things about the stock bike, so I’m looking forward to getting out on it,” said Stacey.

“It’s also nice to be back in the BMW family, even if it’s just for one event.”
Team manager Nathan Smith added: “It’s great to have Storm [Stacey] riding the Superstock bike for us at the North West 200.

“With this being Storm’s first introduction to road racing, it will be all about learning the circuit and completing as many laps as possible.

“Storm is an incredibly talented rider, and I am 100 per cent sure we can give him the equipment to do the job in the Alpha Racing BMW.”
